Why Black Panther is Important — Ebby’s Lane

I remember sitting in American History class. My high school was predominantly white with maybe 30% or less minority population. I sat next to the only other black person in the classroom. We were flipping through the history book and we found the section of African American history. I am not exaggerating when I say, […]

Lets talk big chopping. How did you feel? Sharing a story is equal to motivating one another.

Hey guy’s, hope everyone is doing perfectly nice and fine. Thanks for the Likes and Follows I so much appreciate the love. I promised to take you through my natural hair journey right from the start till, basically with the mission of being able to motivate, strengthen and inspire as many as possibly can. As a youth, it’s usually hard to make that decision of having a big chop to basically go natural because I believe we all want to be stunning and it’s a locked idea within us that for one to look flawless, it is a must to have that hair relaxed soft and long.

In this blog, I am sharing with you my hair journey from relaxed to a big chop when I returned natural accompanied with photos. After chopping my hair I received lots of comments both the positive and negative ones, I realized many people liked my relaxed hair more than I personally did. Many negative vibes about going natural were thrown at me but this was the decision I had made and was not sorry about it besides what everyone said.

I big chopped on 27th/August/2017 so I brag that I am 5 months natural now. ,

I am comfortably enjoying the progress and getting to learn my hair even more because of its thickness and texture.

# I am a proud naturalist.

I am encouraging African girls to always know that you are beautiful with that thick Afro crown you have. No one has a right to make feel bad about how curly or kinky your hair is because you have got actually what no one else can naturally have.

Free yourself from the heat damage, free your body from the burning and irritating hair chemicals and just be.

Be proud to walk through the rains with your hair wrapped with polythen bags because at least have ever did this in fear for my relaxed hair to get wet of course experience breakage. But right now I am extremely free.

It is always a pleasure to communicate to you, will be glad to share with the rest of the world my reasons for going natural with in my next post.

The Roots Of My Blog. #jnaturalists

My name is Joan, 23 years old, Ugandan by Nationality from the continent of Africa. Living in the 21st Century with all the digitalized world which has come with its positive and negative effects , personally have witnessed a hustle among majority of Africa’s population be it men or women, girls or boys and the children as well finding difficulties  with growing and maintaining of their Afro Textured natural hair thus majority of the population has resorted to relaxing in-order to at least have soft and long hair which in the long run  has just caused them hair damage like  breakage and heat effects.

Because of this concern, i resorted to creating Blogs like jnaturalists and pages like My Afro My life Ug  of Face book to  basically educate and inspire people to embrace their natural hair  beauty through sharing Tips ,personal made videos all to provide a solution  and help them witness how beautiful, long and healthy our natural hair can be if taken care of in the right procedures.

Want to let you know i am so happy to share with the rest of the world my natural hair journey and inspire as many as i can
